Sweet shop

I have been busy sewing my houses for my Tilda House Quilt, but thought it might get a bit boring if I just keep showing them, so as they say on Blue Peter 'Here's one I made earlier'. I made this with Ann Baxter in Cornwall a couple of years ago (before I started blogging I think) and still have it hanging in the house. I love the colours and I especially like the big wool tassels! Anyway back to the houses!

Postcard

A friend from work returned from her holiday and bought me back a lovely notebook with a lovely patchwork look cover, and to say thank you I've made one of my elephant postcards!

Tilda House Quilt

I'm really enjoying doing this quilt. Ive been inspired by my daughter who claims to hate hand sewing but has done some beautiful embroidery on her quilt (I vow never to sew a button on for her again or hem her trousers - she is definitely better than I am at hand sewing!) Anyway here is a couple of finished houses complete with windows and flower!

Tilda House Quilt

Its been ages since I last blogged, mainly due to holidays and guests staying over a couple of weekends. So it has been lovely to get back into my sewing room and make up some of the houses. I even got to sit in the garden and do some embroidery on them.

I never thought I would say I've actually enjoyed doing the hand sewing. This could be the start of a whole new part to my quilting!!!!!
