Experimenting with Solufleece
I've really struggled since our holiday in China, the jet lag was dreadful, but I realised today that part of it was leaving Faye behind and knowing I wouldn't see her again until Christmas! But today at my craft group I feel so much better. I had decided I was going to take my cross stitch with me because I just couldn't be bothered to take my sewing machine and gather all the bits and pieces I needed for the class. When I got there the group had other ideas and had bought plenty of calico, wool tops and Solufleece and said I should have a play. It was just what I needed! So much so that when I got home I got out my machine and did the vermicelli to hold it all in place, its also washed and in the Conservatory drying! I think it probably demonstrates the power of craft and of course friends!! Next month we start to embroider our felted pieces - looking forward to that already!

Slow Sunday Stitching and Brockenhurst Needlework Fiesta
We have returned from our three week holiday in China, visiting our daughter and being tourists! We had an amazing time and I will post a few photos (only a couple I promise) when the jet lag wears off! In the meantime here is what I managed to sew while away.
Most of this (it's an elephant by the way) was done while enduring the 12 hour flight there and back, but it helped keep me sane and stopped me watching endless films!
And of course I managed a few 60 degree diamonds for my travel quilt.
I will link up to Slow Sunday Stitching - I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone has done over the last month!
And later this morning I am off to the Brockenhurst Needlework Fiesta to stock up on some sewing supplies.
Have a good day!
