Slow Sunday stitching

It feels like I've had a slow week with very little to show.  I did however make myself two face masks - one for autumn and another one for Christmas, plus a third one for my son in law in grey to wear in class.
I also received Septembers subscription box from the Historical Sampler Company.  It is the fourth one I've had, although two of them were given as birthday gifts.  There is something nice about the postman knocking at the door with a parcel! They present the box so beautifully, wrapped in tissue paper that it is a delight to receive!
I have also been working on the 11th Christmas ornament from mmmcrafts.  I've definitely been a bit slow in doing this one - maybe because I really don't want this series to end!  I will however be starting to assemble her this afternoon for slow Sunday stitching.
Hop on over to Kathy's blog to see what everyone else is stitching today!
Happy Sunday.

Septembers stitch a long

We spent a lovely 9 days on Dartmoor (Devon) chilling out, walking the dog, having lunch in the pub and generally enjoying the sunshine.  We are back now and seem to have been thrown head first into days at Fayes new house with tradesmen.  But that said the windows have been repaired (they all close now!) and the boiler has been replaced, so all good progress!

I've been doing little bits of embroidery but must admit I've spent a good deal of time reading.  I have however completed Septembers section of the linen and thread stitch a long with plenty of time to spare until October.
I am linking up with Kathy (well trying to anyway) for some slow Sunday stitching (ok I admit defeat!!!!! I still can't seem to add a link, but you can reach the slow Sunday stitching participants using the icon in my side bar) Take a look there is lots of inspiration to be had.
Happy stitching.

Slow Saturday stitching

I am going to Dartmoor (Devon) tomorrow in the motor home so won't be able to post or link up to Kathy's blog for slow Sunday stitching, so I allowed myself some slow Saturday stitching instead!  I've made some decisions about my 60 degree diamond travel quilt.  I am going to add a narrow (ish) plain fabric border and then a wider one on top of that and I am pretty sure I am going to have a go at hand quilting again, but that might change of course LOL.

The September section of the Linen and Thread stitch a long is out and I have made a start on it - not much to show admittedly, but I did finish off August which I had thought of changing slightly but decided not too!

Have a great week and see you soon.
