RSC - red and Lola

I have been working on my hexies while I watch TV or sit in the garden topping up my tan!  Not quite sure how I managed to make two sets in the same red - my plan had been to have no two flowers the same!  Oh well.
I thought i would add a photo of some of the red geraniums we have in the garden.  We always seem to have great success with these - probably because they don't mind being neglected occasionally when we go away!

And I couldn't resist adding another picture of Lola! Not sure if they are just cute spaniel eyes or if she's a dog with a 'what you looking at' attitude!  I guess I will find out when we pick her up in 10 days time.

Stash building

The count down is really on now!  Only 11 days until the wedding - yikes!  We did manage to get away to celebrate our 34th wedding anniversary and spent it in the camper van in Kent.  Romantic or what!  We did have a great time and I managed to do some hand sewing hexies and visit a quilt shop to buy some fat quarters!
The three spotty fabrics are not really the sort I would normally buy (well apart from the fact I do like spotty fabric) but they seemed like a good stash builder.  And the lime green batik was just because....

When I get some more time I will post some pictures of textile class last Monday where we were using a soldering iron to cut shapes out of acrylic felt.  Good fun!

Lola

OK so this photo has nothing to do with sewing, embroidery, craft work or patchwork and quilting!  But this is Lola, the soon to be new addition to our family!

She is four weeks today and we had the choice of three puppies (all girls) and Lola was the one that we totally fell in love with. She's a feisty little girl, full of mischief!

We can bring her home after the wedding on the 1st August!

YAY!!!!!
